Josh Freese is reflecting on his time with Foo Fighters and honoring late drummer Taylor Hawkins.

In an Instagram post, the drummer paid tribute to Hawkins, saying, “I continue to miss Taylor as does the band, his family, friends and the rest of the world.”

Hawkins passed away on March 25, 2022 at age 50. At the time, Foo Fighters announced his death in an official statement. “The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children, and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.”

On May 21, 2023, Foo Fighters officially announced Freese as their new drummer. Throughout his career, Freese has drummed with Guns N’ Roses, Paramore, Nine Inch Nails, and more.
